August 8 - California: San Diego Zoo

We spent all day at the San Diego Zoo.  The zoo is enormous and its exhibits are really nicely done.  Great day, picnic lunch, left late.  The kids didn't make it out of the parking lot before falling asleep...again.

After the Zoo, we went to the Gaslamp District to eat delicious Indian food.  On our way, Caden asked what we were doing for dinner.  I told him we were going to eat Indian food.  He replied with hesitation and concern, "Mom...I...I...really don't want to eat buffalo."  LOL!  Poor kid.  It was an honest mistake.  We've talked a lot about Native Americans on this trip.  He wasn't up for eating buffalo and acorns.  ;)
