July 21 - Yellowstone

Yesterday, we cruised through the north loop of the Park.  Today, we drove through the south loop.

The south loop is full of all of the unique 'plumbing' features of Yellowstone -- geysers, bubbling mud, and hot springs.

Of course, there was Old Faithful.

Lots of People Awaiting Eruption

After the eruption, other neighboring geysers joined in.

And the historic Old Faithful Inn.

Easton is not enjoying the ride.
Caden wants a ride.  Not so easy anymore is it, dad??

And LOTS of Wildlife!  Today, we caught glimpses of a momma bear and twin cubs, more buffalo, elk herds, blue herons, a wolf pack (playing too far in the distance for a photo), black bear, and grizzly bear.

We had a quick dinner in the Park before heading out for a couple hours of fishing on Lake Yellowstone, the largest inland lake in North America -- over 7,000 acres.  We caught 2 good-sized cutthroat trout!

On our drive home last night (another late one), Easton asked when we are going home to see Rasca and Kitty.  It is the second or third time he has mentioned them.  He is such a homebody, and I think he's getting a little homesick.
